The Heart of Australian Artistry

Callinan Chambers holds an annual art competition, inviting artists to submit works for the opportunity to win a $10,000 cash prize.

Once submissions are received, the barristers of Callinan Chambers select their top 20 artworks. These shortlisted pieces are then exhibited throughout the Chambers for a period of 12 months.

At the annual Art Competition Exhibition Evening, the winning artwork is announced, along with any Highly Commended awards.

The 2026 Art Competition attracted 79 entries, almost doubling the number received in the previous year, which saw 40 submissions. This significant increase reflects the growing profile and success of the competition within the artistic community.
